Best Practices

Additional tips on successful operation of your Zembeddable.

Overview

A few best practices are covered in this guide to keep your embeddable shop in top shape. For information about how to manage your account and use the features of the user console, refer to the User’s Guide for information on managing the catalog, setting up dashboard analytics, and more.

Alerts

To make sure your account doesn’t run low on funds and preventing customers from making purchases, set a low balance threshold on your wallet and setup an alert to notify you when your account is running low.

See the Alerts User’s Guide for more information.

You may set preferences to only receive alerts in the console or opt in for eMail or SMS Alerts (note that only the account owner may receive SMS alerts at this time.) It’s recommended to opt in to the Announcement category to be informed when an eSIM maintenance is being performed or known issues with connectivity from time to time.

Additionally opting into the System Alerts will allow you to receive notifications when zendit is performing maintenance or if an outage is experienced and a system alert has been issued.

Security alerts will inform you of any changes to the API settings in your environment.

Shutting Off the API

To better secure your account in the event that you only plan to use the Zembeddable components and won’t be using the API, we recommend setting up an IP Whitelist for your production environment with the IP address 255.255.255.255. This is available on the API settings page and will block all attempts to access your account via the API.

This IP Address is not routable on the internet and will block all access to your account via the API.

Securing Your Catalog

As an additional layer of security, it is recommended to disable items in your catalog that you don’t intend to sell. You may bulk select items in the categories to disable all products preventing the items from being sold from your account. For more information, see the Catalog Guide for more information.

Upcoming Features

As we chart the road ahead with Zembeddable, additional features for partners will be rolling out including Zembeddables for additional product types, an update to ShieldWall to help with fraud prevention and velocity management, customer profiles allowing information to be collected about the user and giving them a Zembeddable for reviewing their purchases and product information, and more. Stay tuned and new features will be announced as they roll out.
