Checklist for promoting your account to production

Are you ready to transition to production mode? Get your credit or debit card ready and follow this checklist to ensure a smooth selling experience:

  1. Test Mode Validation: Thoroughly test your integration in the test mode environment. Make sure to handle all failure cases correctly and ensure that all functionalities are working as expected.
  2. IP Whitelisting: Set up IP whitelists for your production environment to enhance security. Refer to the security section for instructions on how to set it up.
  3. Upgrading to Production: Move the slider from the test mode environment to initiate the upgrade process.
  4. User and Business Information: Fill out your user and business information and accept the Terms and Conditions. When doing so, you have three options for handling your production catalog:
    • Option 1: Enable Everything – All products in the catalog will be enabled, and any new products added to zendit will be available for sale by default.
    • Option 2: Decide Later – All products in the catalog will be disabled, allowing you to curate your catalog after transitioning to production. Any new products added to zendit will be disabled by default.
    • Option 3: Keep Your Test Mode Setup – If you have already curated your catalog in the test mode environment, your catalog will remain unchanged during the upgrade process. Any new products added to zendit will be disabled by default.
  5. Wallet Funding: It’s time to set up a funding source for your wallet. Have your bank account information ready so you can reach out to our payments team and send a wire transfer when the process is complete.
  6. Final Steps: If you have completed all the steps successfully, you now have all the rights and privileges to start selling products with zendit. You will be presented with a screen to add funds to your account, your new production API key, and a reminder about keeping your site secure if you haven’t set up IP whitelists.
  7. Setup your production webhooks if using
  8. Setup your ShieldWall webhook if using
  9. Configuration Update: Insert your production API key into your configuration and ensure that your application is pointing to the production API server. Deploy your application to the production environment.
